Osteoarthritis affects a common kind of articular disease that primarily develops in older adults. It results in the wear and tear of cartilage, the soft tissue that pads the ends of bones in a joint. Several factors can increase the risk of osteoarthritis, including genetics, older age, high body mass index and past trauma. Symptoms can vary fro
